How to Install StreamX
Follow our step-by-step guides to install StreamX on your favorite device. Choose your platform below.
Android Phone / Tablet
Requires Android 7.0 or higher
Download the APK
Visit the StreamX website from your Android device and download the APK file. You can also transfer the APK from your computer via USB or cloud storage.
Enable Unknown Sources
Go to Settings → Security → Unknown Sources and enable it. On newer Android versions, you'll be prompted to allow installation when you open the APK.
Install the APK
Open the downloaded APK file (usually in your Downloads folder) and tap Install. Wait for the installation to complete.
Launch & Login
Open StreamX from your app drawer. Enter your playlist credentials (Xtream Codes, M3U URL, or M3U file) to start streaming.
💡 Tip: If you get "Install blocked", go to Settings → Allow from this source and enable the file manager or browser you used to download.
Android TV
NVIDIA Shield, Mi Box, Sony TV, and more
Install Downloader App
Open the Google Play Store on your Android TV and search for "Downloader" by AFTVnews. Install the app.
Enable Unknown Sources
Go to Settings → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources and enable for the Downloader app.
Enter Download URL
Open Downloader and enter the StreamX APK download URL from your dashboard. Press Go to download.
Install StreamX
Once downloaded, the installer will appear. Select Install and wait for completion. Launch StreamX from your apps.
💡 Tip: StreamX is fully optimized for D-pad navigation. Use your TV remote to navigate all menus and features.
Amazon Firestick / Fire TV
All Firestick generations and Fire TV Cube
Enable Developer Options
Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and turn on "Apps from Unknown Sources".
Install Downloader
Search for "Downloader" in the Amazon App Store (app code: AFTVnews) and install it.
Enter Download URL
Open Downloader and enter your StreamX APK download URL from your dashboard. Press Go to start downloading.
Install & Launch
After download, select Install. Once installed, you can find StreamX in Your Apps & Channels. Hold the home button to access recently used apps.
⚠️ Note: On newer Fire TV devices, Developer Options may be hidden. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → About and press the select button 7 times on the first item to enable Developer Options.
Windows PC
Windows 10 / Windows 11 (64-bit)
Download the Installer
Log into your StreamX dashboard and click the download button for the Windows version. Save the installer file (.exe) to your computer.
Run the Installer
Double-click the downloaded .exe file. If Windows SmartScreen warns you, click "More info" then "Run anyway". StreamX is safe and digitally signed.
Follow Setup Wizard
The setup wizard will guide you through installation. Choose your preferred installation location and click Install.
Launch StreamX
After installation, launch StreamX from your desktop shortcut or Start Menu. Enter your playlist credentials to start streaming.
